The Lady Mustang tennis team could not find its groove against
neighboring rival Live Oak
GILROY – The Lady Mustang tennis team could not find its groove against neighboring rival Live Oak in Monday’s match as Gilroy was on the losing end of a 5-2 decision.
While No. 2 singles Valerie Huang was the only Lady Mustang singles victor with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph over Rebecca Dayton, the No. 2 doubles unit of Kayla Aldridge and Amy Thomas won for Girloy with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Queena Deschore and Heather Phan.
Live Oak, however, took three of four singles matches as well as two of three doubles bouts to earn the victory.
