A San Martin man died in a solo accident that police have few details about.
At 6:46 p.m. Thursday, police and fire received a call of a single-vehicle accident on the 7500 block of Camino Arroyo, about halfway between the Gilroy Premium Outlets and Gilroy Crossing shopping center, police said. The man, whose identity police withheld until they notified next of kin, was driving a Toyota truck. He was dead when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
Police had few details of the accident.
“The cause of this collision has not been determined and will not be known for some time as these investigations are very complex and labor intensive,” according to a press release.
In addition, police were waiting for the Santa Clara County Medical Examiners Office to determine a cause of death.
The section of Camino Arroyo near where the accident occurred was closed for some time.
