Grim Reaper

Hundreds of Christopher High School students saw some of their peers “die” in a massive car crash on the athletic field Wednesday.
It was a dramatic illustration of the dangers of drunk and distracted driving, messages that are poignant in this city, where four high school students died in car wrecks last year.
In an above and beyond treatment, the “dead” students had their faces painted grimly and were kept over night at a workshop where they wrote letters to family and felt what it would be like to be gone from the world for the night. They had training and counseling and would see their own funerals at the Christopher High gym Thursday.
The title refers to how often people are killed in this country from drunk driving and is sponsored by a statewide group trying to help high school students drive more carefully.
