Christopher High School, Eliot Elementary, Pacific West Christian Academy and Gilroy Prep School are four of 25 local schools on the receiving end of a $50,000 donation from Wells Fargo.

The bank donated $2,000 each to approximately 25 schools in Gilroy, Hollister, Watsonville, Monterey, Marina, Carmel and Salinas today at an event in Hollister.

The monetary gift is part of the company’s employee-driven charitable contributions program, according to a press release.

Established by the Wells Fargo Foundation in 1999, the Community Partners program allows Wells Faro team members to choose the grant recipients based on involvement and the impact of that particular organization on the community.
