Six candidates will seek to fill three seats on the Gilroy City Council in November.
Incumbent Dion Bracco and appointed incumbent Carol Marques will be joined by Jan Bernstein Chargin, Tom Cline, Joseph Robinson and Ronald Robinson Jr. in the race.
Bracco, the owner of Bracco’s Towing in Gilroy, was first elected to the council in 2005, and was reelected in 2010, 2014 and 2018.
Marques, a retired Gilroy Unified School District teacher, has served on the council since 2018.
Bernstein Chargin is a retired Gavilan College administrator who is active in organizations that address homelessness and housing.
Cline is a business owner involved in various volunteer capacities, such as New Hope Community Church and the Gilroy Garlic Festival.
Special educator Joseph Robinson is a volunteer who has served on various local organizations.
Ronald Robinson Jr. is a Gilroy father.

Education nonprofit executive Tara Bevington and school psychologist Gabriel Gutierrez will vie for the Trustee Area 3 seat on the Gavilan College Board of Trustees, which represents western Gilroy and San Martin.
For District 1 Santa Clara County Supervisor, Sylvia Arenas and Johnny Khamis will race for the seat that represents South County after being the top two vote-getters in the June primary.
