Casino Night extravaganza at Elks

A Casino Night extravaganza is set for Saturday at the Gilroy Elks Lodge, 2765 Hecker Pass Highway. Fun begins with no-host cocktails at 5:30 p.m. followed by a full buffet dinner from 6 to 7 p.m., gaming from 7 to 10 p.m. and dessert and prizes after that. Tickets are only $50 and come with $50 in casino chips. Proceeds benefit the Gilroy Elks Lodge. Call Frank Angelino for a reservation at 674-2228 or the lodge office at 842-9397.

Eighth annual Festival of Fools

The eighth annual Festival of Fools features Tawee Kiva, things, In(flu)enza, FMF, Flesh Weapon,Dimidium and The Devil Himself at 8 p.m. Saturday at 9Lives, 7430 Monterey St. Cost: $5-$8. 18+. Details: 337-1799 or ninelivesclub.com.

‘The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant’

Gilroy native Elizabeth Fazzio will share her expertise as a puppeteer in a performance of “The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant” at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gilroy United Methodist Church, 7600 Church St. The community is invited to attend the 45-minute program. The program benefits the Methodist Church’s piano repair project, for which donations will be collected at the door. Details: 848-1064.

Ranch Days at Henry Coe Park

Come and enjoy the Hunting Hollow area of Henry W. Coe State Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Get close to bunnies, chickens and ducks. There are organized creek studies, games and activities. Rain cancels and event is rescheduled for April 1. Details: coepark.org.

Walking tour will explore bungalows

The Gilroy Historical Society will hold its monthly historic walking tour from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday beginning at the Gilroy Museum, 195 Fifth St. April’s tour will explore the use of bungalows in Gilroy, a popular style between 1905 and 1930. Reservations are appreciated by calling the museum at 846-0446.
