Brevin Zollinger, Christopher Boy’s Volleyball

Zollinger led the Cougars with 13 kills in addition to two blocks in their 3-2 win over Salinas March 5 at Christopher High. He came up with key kills in Set 4, which helped the Cougars get within a point of the Cowboys. The win gave CHS a 4-2 overall record in the early season.
Natalie Gutierrez, Christopher Track and Field

Gutierrez, a senior at CHS, set a new school record in the high jump at the Willow Glen Invitational Saturday in San Jose. She recorded a 5-foot, 4-inch jump for the Cougars, beating her 5-2 mark from last season. The new record also earned her a first place finish.
