Erik Barron, Gavilan Baseball

Barron was instrumental for Gavilan in its wins over Hartnell and Cabrillo. The Ram went 2 for 4 with two RBIs against Hartnell, helping his team to an 8-3 victory on March 12. He tossed nine innings against Cabrillo, striking out nine and allowing five hits in the 3-2 win Saturday.Â
Crissy Simpson, Gavilan Softball

Simpson went a combined 7 for 12 through four games during the March Madness Tournament Saturday and Sunday. She homered against Los Medanos, helping her team to a 10-2 win, which snapped an 11-game losing streak. She scored seven runs, six RBIs and walked twice.
