I no longer live in Gilroy, however I did grow up there. When
Las Animas Park was built I enjoyed taking the kids there to
play.

I no longer live in Gilroy, however I did grow up there. When Las Animas Park was built I enjoyed taking the kids there to play. However during the last several years of our residence I found the park full of drunken transients and street people which left us unable to enjoy the playground or picnic areas.
If this is still the situation, then a ban on alcohol at this park would restore it to it’s original family and neighborhood intent.
