While last-minute Morgan Hill shoppers scramble for gifts less than a week before Christmas, there's also still time to show a little holiday spirit for those less fortunate.
Police will be out in force for the next three weeks, looking for drunken drivers. Beginning last Friday and running through Jan. 2, law enforcement officers will conduct DUI checkpoints and institute saturation patrols, looking to take impaired drivers off the road, according to a press release from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department.
Sandra Arlia, 67 of Morgan Hill, was sentenced to three years of formal probation and 500 hours of community service for causing the traffic accident that killed a young Morgan Hill man.
