SAN JOSE – San Jose opened a four-game homestand on a solid note Monday night, pushing past Pacific Division rival Calgary 3-2 at sold-out SAP Center.
SAN JOSE – San Jose forced overtime with a goal in the closing seconds, then produced a 2-0 win in the shootout to finish the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule, outlasting the visiting Colorado Avalanche 5-4.
I think it’s about time to realize the leadership of the National Hockey League might not have a good grasp on reality. Because why else would those in charge try so hard to ruin the sport they run?

Watched the Grammys and it proved that if you wait long enough everything will come back around ... even the Beach Boys and Paul McCartney. Though I'm not so sure those acts improved a ho-hum show this year. Tony Bennett, however, is another story. Born as Anthony Dominick Benedetto, he's 85, the voice is still crooningly clear and strong and his passion for the music is contagious.
