On April 29, the Gilroy Foundation awarded grants to the finalists at its annual meeting, held at Lizzaran, 7400 Monterey St. More than 160 supporters watched as 17 local nonprofits received more than $25,000.
An additional $193,610 was awarded from funds established at the Gilroy Foundation by individuals, families and groups to benefit designated charities. The awards and grants support a wide range of community activities.
