Brush fire burns near Gilroy industrial area

A fire broke out in a field south of Gilroy near an industrial area about 3:30pm Tuesday. The fire burned near Jamieson Way and East Luchessa Avenue. A pair of burnt chairs were visible near the road. Gilroy Fire Department responded quickly and had the blaze under control by about 4:30pm and were going to keep monitoring it for potential flare-ups. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
