Wednesday 5.25

Bike Park Meeting

Officials will hold a public meeting Wednesday, at 7pm at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna St., to study a potential bike park for Gilroy. Discussions will center on identifying the type of facility and the most appropriate location.

Options discussed at a November meeting included concrete terrain similar to a skate park, a dirt BMX track, or a dirt freestyle jump facility. Officials at the meeting will recommend a facility and discuss the costs of operations and maintenance, as well as liability issues.

Embroiderer’s Guild

The Gavilan Hills Chapter of EGA meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Mormon Church in Morgan Hill, from 10am to noon.

Gilroy Gliders Square Dancing

Square Dancing with the Gilroy Gliders every Wednesday from 7:30 to 10pm at the Gilroy Grange Hall on Swanston Lane.

Coming Up

‘Embroidery Show And Needlework Display’

The Gavilan Hills Chapter of The Embroiderer’s Guild of America (EGA) will hold a “Embroidery Show and Needlework Display” on Saturday, May 28 at the Grange Hall, from 11am to 4pm.

Local instructors will be on hand giving demonstrations on needlework, as well as answering questions. An array of completed works will also be on display for viewing and creative inspiration.
