relations award category.
Ketchum, the public relations firm for Gilroy Foods, won more Clio Awards than any other PR firm in the global advertising competition’s first-ever strategic communications and public relations award category. Ketchum and its clients were honored with one gold, two silver and one bronze Clio during the ceremony in Las Vegas recently.
In addition, Ketchum received a Certificate of Excellence from the Holmes Group for Gilroy Foods & Flavors in the External Publication category.
STWA quarter results
Save The World Air, Inc., a pioneer in the clean technology industry based in Morgan Hill, recently released results for the quarter that ended March 31.
During the quarter the company received proceeds in excess of $630,000 in investment capital through a series of notes from investors. Capital received is for the general development of the company and its technologies.
The company received from Temple University a written extension to its May 29 agreement for funds due to Temple. The Company expects that all payments regarding past due amounts, with the exception of the prescribed payments, will be renegotiated on or before May 29.
Coast quarter results
The Coast Distribution System, Inc., based in Morgan Hill, recently reported its operating results for the first quarter that ended March 31.
Coast reported a net loss of $888,000, or $.20 per diluted share, on net sales of $23.2 million for the first quarter of 2009. For the same period of 2008, Coast reported a net loss of $850,000, or $.19 per diluted share, on net sales of $39.5 million.
