David Amaya was arrested Thursday morning. A booking photo was not available for Filiberto Jr. Elias.

Members of the Gilroy Police Department Anti-Crime Team, along with members of the United Narcotic Enforcement Team (UNET), carried out a search warrant at 7:05 a.m. this morning in the 6700 block of Church Street in Gilroy.

At the residence, law enforcement officers observed approximately 45 grams of crystal methamphetamines thrown from the bedroom window of 31-year-old David Amaya, who was located in the room with two small children. Amaya was arrested for possession of methamphetamines and indica for sale, along with child endangerment, according to a UNET press release.

The second subject, 24-year-old Filiberto Jr. Elias, was located in the living room. Police say Elias was in possession of approximately 100 grams of marijuana. Elias was arrested for an existing felony warrant and for possessing marijuana for sale.

Amaya and Elias were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
