If Gilroy Gardens can’t make it financially as a theme park,
should the City Council: a) sell it to a developer for cash or b)
preserve the land for park use?
THIS WEEK’S WEB POLL:
If Gilroy Gardens can’t make it financially as a theme park, should the City Council: a) sell it to a developer for cash or b) preserve the land for park use?
Park: 10 Sell: 2
â– Gilroy’s current economic picture dictates CASH for the Gardens.
â– I don”t see how it would be financially viable but would make a wonderful park open to the public.
â– My 12-year-old says to preserve it for a park … I don’t believe you can get the right price for it now anyway … might as well sit on it
■Preserve the land for park use. There are many wonderful projects that could take off – i.e. community gardens.
■The city should listen to all offers. Gilroy Gardens should not just operate for little kids but also teenagers who spend a lot more than little kids … Some land should be sold as open space.
