Four juveniles and one adult were transported to the hospital with what Gilroy police described as minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Day Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard about 3:40 p.m. Friday. Traffic was partially blocked until tow trucks arrived and removed both vehicles involved, and the road was cleared by 4:30 p.m.

According to police, a green GMC Safari minivan was making a left turn onto Santa Teresa Boulevard when it was hit by a blue Honda Odyssey minivan heading south on Santa Teresa Boulevard. A middle age woman, who was a passenger in the Odyssey, and four juveniles in the Safari – ages 3, 6, 6 and 12 – were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
