Dear Editor,
I am unable to find the logic in the notion that a “developer” can cause such an uproar over putting in a light. We have much more important areas of concern with traffic and safety. Let’s take a look at 10th and Church streets?
In a few weeks time, a child gets killed then a home invaded by a vehicle which is now red-tagged … or how about enforcing the speed limits or even the stop signs that are in place?
We moved to this beautiful community due to the fact that it is a “community.” It is neighborly, kind, friendly and has a wonderful small-town attitude and feel. With developers coming in and dictating to us what they think we need is wrong … maybe the developer should really get to know Gilroy.
I would like to know how the light at Third Street and Wren Avenue will truly affect and assist the seniors at that particular intersection? Hey, are they putting in a signal at Third Street and Westwood Avenue, too? I certainly hope not, though they are closer to that area.
