Gilroy – Margaritas, raffle prizes, good food and dancing to the music of the ’70s and ’80s will highlight a benefit evening for the St. Mary’s Youth Group Mexico Mission Trip on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 6pm to midnight.
Tickets are $25 per person for the event to be held at Cullen Hall, 11 First Street, in Gilroy.
Proceeds will help fund the annual trip to Mexico during which students build new homes for residents in some of Tijuana’s poorest neighborhoods.

Gilroy – High School is holding an informational meeting from 7 to 8:30pm Wednesday, for parents of 8th grade students in Gilroy who are considering private school options.
The GHS Choir and the GHS Jazz Band will perform.
There will be a panel presentation from department chairs and representatives as well as a student panel that will field questions from the audience.
This is a good opportunity to see and hear what GHS has to offer prospective freshmen. For parents who have already decided to attend GHS in the fall, there will be a special presentation on May 12 during the annual Open House Spring Faire.
Young Artists Concert this afternoon
Gilroy – The ever-popular Young Artists’ Concert of the South Valley Symphony will be held at 3pm today at the Gavilan College Theater.
Tickets are on sale at the Music Tree and BookSmart in Morgan Hill; Porcella’s Music, and California Music Company in downtown Gilroy and Carole’s Hallmark next to Nob Hill, Dorothy McNett’s in downtown Hollister and Mission Galley in downtown San Juan Bautista.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens age 60 and older, and $7 for students ages 12-18.
Casino Night benefits Relay for Life
Gilroy – Relay For Life Team USA is hosting “Casino Night” at Dutchman’s Pizza, 6940 Chestnut St., on Saturday, from 7 to 11pm.
The cost is $15 in advance or $20 at the door and includes gaming chips, raffle ticket, food and music by J&J Karaoke DJ. Dress is semi-formal. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Crab feed benefits student scholarships
Gilroy – The Gilroy Knights of Columbus Council 2469 will host a crab feed at the Saint Mary Parish Hall on Feb. 12.
Happy hour will take place at 6pm with dinner following at 7pm.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Knights of Columbus scholarships and other charitable activities.
Tickets are $35 and are available at the Parish office at 55 First St. or by calling Frank Borge at 842-4357 or Stanley Villalobos at 848-9865.
No tickets will be sold at the door.
Film depicts woman’s road to recovery
Gilroy – ‘Moment by Moment,’ a film showing the road to recovery of Molly Sacco Hale will be shown at 3pm on Sunday, at Gilroy Presbyterian Church, 6000 Miller Ave.
There will be a chance to ask questions, and a reception will follow with light refreshments served.
Admission is free and the public is welcome.
Cookies, hot chocolate help tsunami victims
Gilroy – This fundraiser was put together by some girls and they’re moms to help the victims of Asia who lost everything.
It will be held Sunday, from 1 to 4pm at 8735 Learnard Way.
