– City police say a stolen car found burning Friday evening near
Gavilan College was lit deliberately, making it the fourth
suspected arson fire in an eight-day period in Gilroy and San
Martin.

GILROY – City police say a stolen car found burning Friday evening near Gavilan College was lit deliberately, making it the fourth suspected arson fire in an eight-day period in Gilroy and San Martin.

Police found the 1995 Pontiac Grand Am at 6:43 p.m. on Miller Avenue’s southern extension at Thomas Road, just south of Santa Teresa Boulevard. Police later determined it had been reported stolen from Salinas.

A gas can was found in the back seat of the car.

Police have no suspects at this time.
