meeting at 7pm Tuesday, in the teachers lounge.
All parents are invited to attend and participate in the

Challenge the ‘Save Moves’ course
Gilroy – The Gilroy Police Department presents “Bicycle Rodeo” on Saturday, from 11am to 2pm at Glen View School, located at 600 Eighth St. Join GPD and CHP officers for free Wienerschnitzel hot dogs, drinks and bicycle license registration.
Kids can bring their bikes to challenge the “Safe Moves City,” a bicycle safety course which includes sidewalks, street, crosswalks, railroad crossings and more. Also, kids can get fingerprinted in case of an emergency.

Casino night benefits Saint Mary School
Gilroy – Saint Mary School presents “Casino Nite” on Saturday, Sept. 18 with dinner at 6pm, games from 7 to 10pm and dessert and prizes until 11pm at St. Mary’s Cullen Hall.
Cost of $50 per person includes appetizers, Santa Maria style tri-tip and chicken barbecue, dessert, prizes, two drink tickets and $25 in chips to begin play. Guests can even win a trip to beautiful Cabo San Lucas.

Adult Day Services Open House
Gilroy – Live Oak Adult Day Services, located at 651 W. Sixth St., will hold its annual “Open House” on Monday, from 10am to 2pm.

YMCA launches fall registration drive
Gilroy – The YMCA of Santa Clara Valley has launched fall registration of youth and adult sports, child care and wellness programs at its seven branches throughout Santa Clara Valley.
The YMCA offers a wide variety of sports, youth and wellness programs in addition to child care, after school and Teen Centers.

Enroll now and become a junior ranger
Gilroy – Coyote Lake County Park is starting a free junior ranger program for 9 to 11 year olds. In six sessions, children will learn about the roles of the ranger, the plants and animals in the park, and the Ohlone people.
The program will be held on Wednesdays, Sept. 22 through Nov. 3, from 3:30 to 5:30pm, except Oct. 6. Children must be able to attend at least four of the six programs.

BBQ, auction benefits Ascencion Solorsano
Gilroy – Ascencion Solorsano Middle School will host a barbecue and silent auction/raffle to support its athletics teams on Friday, Sept. 24 from 5 to 8pm, and the auction will continue until Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11am.
Barbecue meals may be purchased in advance.
