I think somebody needs to take a look at the way Charter is handling the TV coverage for Village Green nursing home off Santa Teresa. There are residents there who live primarily for TV and have a visitor once in a while, and Charter cut off their service for three weeks because they cut the TV off before they were ready to install the new system.
Red Phone:
Red Phone contacted Village Green and it’s true, good caller, that residents were without TV reception in their apartments for three weeks, according to an employee who asked to remain anonymous.
Village Green, a gated senior community with 160 apartments, was re-cabled for digital television. Although residents were not happy about the inconvenient stoppage, two working televisions were set up in common areas.
Red Phone also contacted Charter Communications to inquire about the lengthy installation process and was told by a representative that it would not have taken three weeks to install new equipment unless the receiver boxes were back-ordered.
When asked for a phone number to speak to the local Charter store responsible for the actual installation, the representative could not provide a number and suggested Red Phone drive to the local Charter store.
Red Phone declined the trip.
It has since been told that the new equipment is working fine with a few minor glitches.
