A woman driving a silver four-door sedan hit a tree going southbound on Arroyo Circle near the Hometown Buffet around 8:44 a.m. today and rolled her car onto its roof.
She got distracted while driving, said Gilroy Fire Department Capt. Shaun Peyghambary; he added she was injured, though conscious and breathing.
The woman was being treated at the scene by paramedics around 8:50 a.m., then was taken to a hospital via ambulance for further examination.
By 8:58 a.m. a tow truck began to erect the sedan upright, while at least eight law enforcement personnel, firefighters and paramedics were at the scene of the single-car rollover. A GPD officer was directing southbound traffic on Arroyo Circle until the two-lane road was cleared.
