He worked as a plating supervisor.

Edward is survived by his sons, Pete (Trish) Cruz and Edward Cruz III and mother, Consuelo Cruz of Morgan Hill. His was the brother of David (Helen), Gene and Bob Cruz, Cecelia Cruz and Sylvia (Ernie) Hirose. He was the grandfather of Tony, Derek, Alyssa and Gregory Cruz. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen and his father, Edward Cruz Sr.

Edward was interested in Little League baseball and all kinds of sports. He was in the Navy during the Korean War. He also enjoyed model building, especially World War II aircraft. He enjoyed listening to jazz from the ’40s and ’50s.

Visitation was held Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill, service at the chapel. Funeral Mass was today at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, Morgan Hill.
