Dear Editor,

First off, I’d like to apologize for not getting this e-mail out sooner. I found out about Jeramy’s death within hours of it happening. I’m a Lance Corporal in the Marines, stationed out of Camp Pendleton, but currently serving my time in Iraq. I’ve been out here since the end of September. I’m happy to say that I was able to meet Jeramy briefly before I went to boot camp last year, but unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to get to know him.

I would like to extend my deepest regrets to the family, and thank them for their son, and giving me the opportunity to serve with him.

In addition, I would like to thank the community for their support … reading the articles from home about the community’s reaction made me feel much better about being out here. My deepest regrets to the family. Jeramy will not be forgotten.

Semper Fidelis,

Molly Howe, Lance Corporal USMC
