Everything you need to know about Friday’s Gilroy-Live Oak
game
Drive of the game: Live Oak’s first four possessions of the second half consisted of a fumble, a 4-and-out, a 3-and-out, an interception and 12 total yards. Down 21-13 and seemingly down for the count, the Acorns strung together five runs, 79 yards and a two-point conversion to tie the game with seven minutes left.
Stats of the game: Due in part to worse field position, Gilroy produced more first downs (12-9) and way more total yards (356-227) than Live Oak. To be fair, the Acorns did start two of their four touchdown drives within the Mustang 15.
