Gavilan Earns First Victory of Season

Gilroy – Gavilan’s women’s volleyball team started the home portion of its schedule by outlasting Merced College 23-30, 30-19, 30-28, 23-30, 15-12.

Shannon Silveira had 14 kills and 10 digs to pace the Rams, who are now 1-1. Heather Harms added 13 kills.

Gavilan hosts Feather River College at noon today.
