Nellie A. Garcia

Our loving Mother, Nellie Garcia, AKA "Negra", was born in Watsonville, CA on May 27, 1925. She is predeceased by her brother, Ralph Alvarez, survived by her brother, Ignacio Alvarez of San Mateo, her son, Benny Garcia and spouse Dolores Garcia, of Hollister, her daughter Irene Llamas of Hollister, and daughter Carmen Garcia Gonzalez of Watsonville. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 28 great- grandchildren.

Richard T. Gorsche

Richard T. Gorsche was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and passed away after a lengthy illness on Saturday afternoon at the age of 79 at his home in Hollister. Richard was employed at Live Oak High School as a work experience and Spanish teacher. He retired in 1984 after 29 years of teaching. He attended Dowling High School in Des Moines and graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended San Jose State where he received his teaching credentials. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. Richard was an active member of SIRS and the Knights of Columbus with the Sacred Heart Church in Hollister for many years.

Joyce Elane Culligan was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on March 2nd, 2012 at the age of 79. Preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lasca Erdkamp, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Culligan of Gilroy. Loving mother and grandmother to Emily Culligan Chadwick (Beau Sizemore, Chrissy Mulder), Mary Culligan, Courtney and Pete Estrada (Casey and Cody), John and Beth Culligan (Sean and Cara), Liz and Jim Bolton, (J.J., Jillian, and Jaci), Tim and Laurie Culligan, (Ryan and Megan) Clare and Mark Campaigne (Madeline, Drew, Jameson, and Cooper). Beloved sister of Sharon Ahmad, aunt to Marya and Sameena and great grandmother to Miranda (Beau), Justin and Ashlyn (Chrissy).

Dolores A. Butron June 13, 1921 – May 22, 2012

Resident of San Jose, age 90, died peacefully on May 22, 2012. The child of Phillip Guevara and Isabella Mendoza, Dolores was born June 13, 1921, in the City of Angels, CA.

Mildred Ruth Hanna

Mildred Hanna passed away on January 17th, 2010, at her home at the age of 96. Born in Gilroy, the daughter of Ruth and Roy Swarner, Mildred attended schools in Soledad, Gilroy and at San Jose State. She is survived by her loving husband Sandoe, and two of her sons, Roy of Gilroy and Tom of Juneau, AK (married to Kathy). Two of her children preceeded her in death: Sandra in 2005 and Bill in 2009.
