Saturnino (Sat) Quinones Tambo

Saturnino "Sat" Quinones Tambo, a longtime resident of Hollister, died of cancer on April 10 at Bethel Baptist Hospital in Malaybalay, Philippines. He was 67.

Ramiro B. Garcia

Ramiro B. Garcia entered into rest March 23, 2008, Easter Sunday at the age of 83. He was born in Donna, Texas came to Hollister and later to Gilroy in the mid 40's, he was retired from Gilroy Foods, a member of the Teamster's Union, St. Mary's Church and was an avid hunter. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Victoria Velador. Mr. Garcia is survived by his children Adolf (Linda) Garcia of Oklahoma, Suzanne (John) Trujillo of Susanville, Sylvia (Frank) Dutra of Morgan Hill, Robert Garcia of Indiana, Sandy (Gordon) Fortino of Gilroy and Ramiro Jr. (Rey) Garcia of Quatar. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 29, 2008 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church. Vigil Services will be Friday, March 28, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M.

Maeve Sheila Cronin-Williams passed away January 27, 2008, in Gilroy.

Rudolph (Rudy) Ochoa

Rudy Ochoa passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008. A memorial mass will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 21 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Gilroy.

Don (Hank) McCammond

Barber by occupation, Don owned Downtown Barbers before his retirement in 2000. Besides cutting hair in his small traditional shop, he also found enjoyment in restoring vintage autos. He spent countless hours working on them before selling them to go on to new projects.

Mary Louise Williams

Mary Louise Williams passed away March 21, 2007, in Palm Desert, after several years of declining health. Her husband, Thomas B. Williams, long time owner of the Hollister Pharmacy, preceded her in death in 1987.

William Anthony Buchner

William "Bill" Anthony Buchner, born April 30, 1924 at his family's home in San Francisco, died May 9, 2007 in Gilroy. He was a 40 year resident of San Martin, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Antoinette Buchner and his brothers; Albert, Elmer, and Ray.

Eleanor Raney Hornall

Eleanor Raney Hornall was born in Morgan Hill, CA. She entered into rest in Spokane, WA, following a long battle with heart related problems. She was the daughter of Albert & Carrie Raney and attended local schools. Following her college graduation, she married Gordon Hornall and taught school for many years at Rucker School in Gilroy, CA, and together they raised their three children; John, Anne, and Jeanne, of Morgan Hill.
