Librado "Lalo" Perez passed away June 22, 2009. He is survived by his children; Lorraine Valencia of Clovis, Liz and her husband Jr. Martinez of San Martin, Jimmy Perez of Visalia, and David Perez of Gilroy; grandchildren; Robert, Janelle and Stephanie Perez, Daniel and Michael Martinez, and Gabriel and Lauren Valencia; as well as great-grandchildren; Cailin Caudillo and Brayden Martinez.
Passed away at home after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Guadalupe Haro, father of Maria Gaeta, Trini Franco, Anita Armas, Toni Ferreira, Baltazar Haro Jr., Sara Avila, Pascual Haro, Jorge Haro, Ralph Haro and the late Francisco Haro and Ramiro Haro. He was a grandfather of 34, great-grandfather of 42 and great-great grandfather of two. He was the brother of Nicolas Haro, Guadalupe Haro, Salvador Haro, Ninfa Loera and the late Refugio Haro, Enedina Carrillo and Consuelo Ayon . Baltazar is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in San Martin de Bolanos, Jalisco, MX, he moved to Gilroy in 1968 and was a retired cattle rancher.
Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, born in Texas and later moved to Montana where she met her husband, Alex Seifert. She made her final move in 1947 to Gilroy, CA. She was a remarkable woman. Survived by her adult children Magdalena, Alex Jr., Max, Lydia, Triny, Rose, Mary, Laurie, Teresa, Valentine, and many many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers. We all are going to miss her.
Surrounded by family, Mary passed away peacefully last Saturday afternoon at the age of 81. She lived in Gilroy most of her life. She is survived by her daughter Martha and her son Basil. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home, 129 4th St., Gilroy on Thursday, June 10th, 2010, at 7:00 P.M. Margaret W. Barrett, a native of San Jose, passed away in Monterey on August 24, 2010. Born December 26, 1922, she lived in Morgan Hill for most of her life. Margaret received her California teaching credential and retired after 25 years as a third-grade teacher.
