Frances M. Sawyer of Morgan Hill lost her most recent battle with cancer on Friday, January 15, 2010. She tried hard to combat her latest setback of hepatobiliary cancer, but just didn't have the physical strength to pull off what her mental toughness wanted to accomplish. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Houghton (Tom), son Kevin (Terri), daughter Maureen Henningsen (Mike), and seven loving grandchildren, Megan Wilson, Gillian Brotherson, Kameron Sawyer, Molly, Colleen, Kelly, and Scott Henningsen. She was preceded by son Brian and daughter Eileen. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1926, and immigrated to California in 1950. She enjoyed family, vacations at Summer Home Park, and volunteering at school and church. She was a past member of the Flower
Leola Jean Paganucci Burns passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 10, 2010, at the young age of 66. Hearts are breaking near and far at the sudden loss of this wonderful woman.
Candelaria Gamboa was born in Mexico on April 14, 1944 and migrated to California with her late husband Ignacio in 1964. She was devoted to her family and a homemaker for 40 plus years. She worked seasonally for Tri-Valley Growers; San Benito Foods and performed other agricultural work. She battled cancer for two years and never once complained.
Professor Emeritus UCSF Medical School. Keith was the son of Olin C.Hadley and Elma Paulsen Hadley. Keith graduated as valedictorian of Gilroy High's Class of 1946 where he also served as student body president. He attended UC Berkeley where he earned a doctorate in micro biology and then an MD at Yale U Medical School. He was a respected teacher and researcher as professor of clinical pathology. He is survived by his wife Marilyn and daughter Ruth of Tiburon and daughter Joan and grandchildren Andrew and Taryn Phillips of Seattle. Also by his brother Ron of Middlebury,VT and his family.
