Morgan Hill resident, Helen N. Smith, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the age of 75 in San Jose, CA, with her family at her side. Helen is survived by her loving brother, three devoted daughters, four grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, and several extended family members and friends. Helen was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. in March 1954. She retired from the County of Santa Clara after 25 years of public service. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. at the South Bay House of God, 2149 Oakland Road, San Jose, CA 95131.
Marie Celine Keyes (aka Marie Mancha) – Born in Berkeley, CA on September 19th, 1930, to Joseph and Augustine Turturici, died peacefully Saturday morning, November 20th, 2010. Survivors: husband Bill (William Keyes) of San Martin, CA, who was her constant and attentive companion for whom she was very grateful; devoted sister Clara and her husband George Avilla of San Martin; daughter Susan Christie (h. John) of Beresford, SD, granddaughter Crystal Corbin of Watertown, SD; daughter Sharon Mancha Priem (h. Dan) of Kent, WA.
Connie Olavarri Lopes, a selfless, compassionate woman who always found the good in everybody and lived her life to the fullest, died Tuesday, August 24th, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Jose. She was 89.
Joyce Ellen Esparza Age, 63 died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in Amarillo, TX. Memorial Services: 3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the First Christian Church, Dalhart, TX.
Jennie Angulo was called home Feb. 1st, 2011 at the age of 81. She was the first born daughter into a family of 18 children. She lived a long yet at times a hard life, yet her love for her family was unconditional. She was born in Texas on May 6th, 1929. She had 8 children, sons, Elesar, Jr., Benny and David Angulo, daughters, Rosemary Bailey, Gloria Angulo, Susie Schwarm, Barbara Aguirre and the late Nonie Angulo. She had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Jennie was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and Live Oak Adult Day School in Gilroy for twelve years.
Jeanette passed away peacefully at Gilroy Health Care Hospital due to complications from Breast Cancer. She is preceded in death by her sister Rose Marie Calabro and survived by sister Catherine. A grave site service will be held April 17, 2009 @ 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
