The Gilroy High girls basketball team (22-1) faces Gunn High School in semifinals action tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Christopher High.
The second-seeded Mustangs easily leapfrogged Evergreen Valley 62-31 in the quarterfinals while No. 3 Gunn, nearly doubled up San Benito 50-26 in its quarterfinal.
The Mustangs last reached the CCS finals in 2004 where they were defeated by Salinas 68-51. Gilroy played in the semifinals the following year but fell short of the championship game.
