Glen E. Humphreys January 17, 1916 – July 15, 2012

Glen E. Humphreys passed away at his home surrounded by family on Sunday, July 15th, 2012, at the age of 96. Glen was a native of Blanchester, OH and a resident of Ohio until 1973, when he moved with his wife, Laura, to Hollister.

 While in Ohio Glen was a father of three sons and a daughter, farmer for 25 years, a postman, and also served in World War II. While living in Hollister Glen worked for Arnold DeBrito, Gunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home, and his son’s farm, Uesugi Farms.

 When Glen’s wife, Laura, passed away in 2006 they had been married nearly 65 years.

 Glen loved to travel. While serving in the war he saw England, Italy, and North Africa. Glen also traveled, on vacations, across the United States nine times by automobile, visited Greece and other European countries, traveled on cruise trips, visited the Panama Canal; and went on heli/hikes throughout Canada. Glen also enjoyed golf, playing cards, and fishing.

 Glen is survived by his sons Roger, spouse Chris of Puyallup, WA; Dennis, spouse Becky of Hollister, and Kent of Anchorage, AK, and a daughter Sheryl Cohen of Hollister, grandchildren Mark, Bryan, and Matthew Humphreys, John and David Humphreys, Eric Chamblin, Milan and Briana Gaetano, and Dori Maycumber. Glen is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Samual, Lydia Ellen, Ava, and Betty and Lucy Maycumber.

 Private cremation services have been held.
