Over the last five days, several burglaries occurred around Gilroy and a handful of teens were found in possession of marijuana at school.
Gilroy Police released its incident report Monday morning, detailing arrests and incidents from Feb. 16 through Sunday.

- Several underage students were found with marijuana on campus at area Gilroy schools: Feb. 16 at 8 a.m. a student was found with a smoking pipe with marijuana residue on it at school; Feb. 16 at 12:45 p.m. a student was found in the bathroom with an apple pipe containing marijuana; Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. a student was in possession of marijuana at school; Feb. 17 at 7:50 a.m. a student was in possession of a hand-rolled marijuana cigarette at school; Feb. 17 at 8:45 a.m. a student was in possession of marijuana and a pipe on campus. On Feb. 17, 18-year-old Martin Gastelum Medina was cited for having marijuana on school campus.
- A person advertised their laptop for sale on CraigsList and met the suspect at Starbucks on First Street to exchange $85 for the laptop on Feb. 16 around 3:10 p.m. Four $20 bills were found to be counterfeit.
- On Feb. 16 at 7:26 p.m. an unknown suspect entered an apartment on Juniper Drive and stole a Toshiba laptop ($532), a portable DVD player ($25), and approximately 100 DVDs ($2,000).
- On Nagereda Drive near Forest Street sometime on Feb. 16, a the right rear windo of a person’s car was smashed and these items were stolen: An expired driver’s license, a diamond/sapphire ring ($400), duffle bag, key ring with keys, black high heels size 9 ($180), coffee mug with a photo of a child on it, prescription medication and Dave & Busters Restaurant game cards.
- The front windows of the Quickly on First Street were broken by unknown suspects around 7:16 a.m. Feb. 18. Damages were estimated to be around $1,200. Suspects also threw red paint on the east exterior wall of Quickly.
