We caught a preview of the new play On a First Name Basis by the Pintello Comedy Theater, and we have to say it’s brilliant, sophisticated and fun—sort of a modern Downton Abbey.
With a comedy, a love story, and a mystery wrapped in witty dialogue, the play was written by one of their favorite playwrights, Norm Foster. Opening a four-week run on April 14, the play features Rod Pintello as a successful but cantankerous author who decides one evening to finally get to know his maid of 28 years—starting with her first name.
Holding her own in the engaging repartee which follows is Ariane Borgia as the self-educated housekeeper.
The show plays: April 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, 30, May 5, 6. Tickets are at PintelloComedy.com.
