There are two films being produced around Gilroy and we have some of the scoop, but producers are holding off on releasing all of the details until May 26.
They have been filming at Sandy’s Diner, at Saccullo’s Surplus, Featherhaven Feed and the laundromat by Safeway.
Locals have gotten jobs as extras and the producer says he picked Gilroy after driving up Interstate 5 and scouting interesting towns. They’ve been here more than a month, staying at the Hilton.
“It was like being in another world for seven hours,” said Mary Saccullo after they turned the back of her store into some kind of deathbed scene.
We’ll have interviews in two weeks.
There’s also been a documentary crew in town working on a piece about the drought.
