She had lived in San Benito County since March 2003, originally at her daughter’s home in San Juan Bautista.

Born in Herkimer, New York, Mrs. Flanagan lived most of her life on the East Coast and in Aruba, NWI, before moving to Santa Rosa in 1973.

She lived at the Sunset Gardens senior complex in Gilroy from 1982 to 2003. She was a registered nurse for many years.

Mrs. Flanagan is survived by daughter, Jean M. Zlotkin and son-in-law Steve Zlotkin. Her only other child, Patricia, died of lung cancer in Bosie, Idaho in 2001 at the age of 59, leaving her daughter Christina Latta of Boise, Idaho.

She also is survived by grandsons, Benjamin and Michael Zlotkin of Santa Cruz and Aptos, respectively.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, who died in 1985.

No public service is planned.

The family will gather at the Zlotkin home for a private memorial to celebrate her long life. Arrangements have been made for private cremation through Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory with placement of her remains in the family plot in Boise, Idaho.

Persons wishing to make a memorial donation should do so to their favorite charity or to the Mabie Center (Hazel Hawkins) or the VNA/Hospice of the Central Coast.

The family wishes to thank staff members from both organizations for their care during the past two years.

Memorials may be made in care of the funeral home chapel at 870 San Benito St., Hollister, Ca 95023.
