Dear Editor:
Death of a loved one can be a devastating experience. Just recently we unexpectedly lost a loved one. Because of the approaching three-day holiday, we needed to make some decisions and arrangements in a very short period of time.
From the time we walked into the Habing Family Funeral Home, we were treated with respect, compassion and professionalism. We were presented with many options from which to choose, but we were not pressured to “buy” any particular services. Everything was done to fit our wishes and our needs, from choosing the photo for the prayer card, to accommodating our choice of country gospel music, to preparing our own prayer service.
Although it was a trying time for us, we were graciously led through the entire experience by the Habing Family. When they told us that we could call at any time, they meant it.
One day we must have called four times to clarify issues or make another request. Each one of these calls was handled with patience and kindness. It is no wonder that the Habing Family has served this community for three generations! Obviously they consider their work not a job, but rather a ministry.
We are extremely grateful for the services we received from the Habing Family Funeral Home. All of us here in Gilroy are blessed to have them as a professional resource and a place of refuge when dealing with the loss of a loved one. Quality and comfort is a winning combination.
