CUPERTINO – The Gavilan College women’s basketball team cut into a nine-point halftime deficit against De Anza in Friday’s North Division game but could not surpass the Lady Dons – falling 53-50.
Freshman guard Stacey Perrien led the Lady Rams’ charge with a team-high 19 points, while freshman teammate Noreen Bailey added 11 points and guard Nicole Donley tallied seven points.
The Lady Rams trailed 32-23 at the break.
Up nex, Gavilan (2-2 in North Division) will travel to San Francisco City College for a Feb. 5 road game at 5:30 p.m.
