Dear Editor,
I’d like to pay tribute to a very special local poet, Tom Engebretson.
Tom has written many poems published by the Dispatch which brightened a day and might have made you chuckle. Tom’s natural talent coupled with his unique humor gave us all reading pleasure.
On Tuesday, May 10, 2011, you may have caught his “Pumping up over filling stations.” Tom was always spot on. That same day he lost his battle to live.
We know he is now debating politics with God, golfing with the angels and writing poems eternally. Thanks, Tom, for generously sharing your talents.
