A question and answer session will follow the presentations.
Spanish translation will be available.

Blood drive set for March 16
Stanford Blood Center will hold a blood drive on March 16 from noon to 5pm at the Veterans Memorial Building, 74 West Sixth St. in Gilroy.
Walk-in availability may be limited, so donors are encouraged to make an appointment by visiting stanford.io/3HwE2gW or by calling 888.723.7831. Donors will be required to wear a mask.
“Our blood drives play a huge role in making life-saving procedures and other treatments possible for local patients—but they are nothing without community support,“ said Clayton Toller, Stanford Blood Center account manager. “That’s why we are urging the local community to please come out to the Gilroy community blood drive and donate. In just one hour, you could donate enough blood to help save the lives of multiple patients in need.”
In preparation for their donation, donors are advised to eat well, stay hydrated and arrive with their donor ID. First-time donors or returning donors without a donor ID card should bring a valid state-issued photo identification.
Donors with all blood types are always welcomed, but there’s always a special need for type O blood. O negative donors are universal donors, meaning anyone can receive O- blood no matter their type.
Anyone who donates at this drive will be entered to win one of two pairs of tickets to the Golden State Warriors’ regular season home finale versus the Los Angeles Lakers on April 7.

It can also be viewed anytime through the windows at 64 West Sixth St.
