Redding.
Loretta Zachery died Saturday, May 1, 2004, at her home in Redding.
She was 68.
Born on August 3, 1935, in Salinas, Mrs. Zachery spent most of her adult life in Salinas raising her family.
In 1982 she moved to Gilroy. There, she attended Gavilan College and received a certificate in social services.
In 2000, Mrs. Zachery moved to Redding.
She loved gardening, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was active in the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mrs. Zachery is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jack Zachery; daughters, Christine Bauer of Redding and Kathy Visser of Salinas; brothers, Donald Carston Jr. of Salinas and Dale Davis of San Juan Bautista; sister, Beverly Astuy of Monterey; stepfather, Leo Tamagni of Salinas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Gilroy.
