At 2:30 a.m. Feb. 1, an unknown male suspect picked up a female victim who was walking along Monterey Road near San Jose Avenue in San Jose, according to a press release from the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
Once the female was inside the car, the male suspect identified himself as a police officer and displayed what looked like an official badge that was blue and gold in color, according to the victim. Officers say the man threatened to arrest the female if she did not do what he said, then took her to an undisclosed parking lot and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult in his late 30s to early 40s; measuring between 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches; weighing 140 to 160 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities say the victim described the suspect as having a “muscular build” and “bowl-style haircut.” He was last seen driving a white, mid-1990s Dodge Durango. The victim also told authorities that she noticed a black jacket with the word “SECURITY” written on the back, sitting in the suspect’s vehicle.
