Jorge Pulido Chavez, of 7010 Princevalle St. E, was standing near the Uvas Creek levee overlooking the high school athletic fields on the west side of the 750 W. 10th St. campus, police said. He was watching students about 10:10am Friday, police said. A resident on the levee at the time reported the man’s presence, Sgt. Kurt Svardal said. A group of students was in the area, but none reported seeing Chavez.
He was arrested on suspicion of annoying or molesting a child under 18, a felony; indecent exposure, disrupting a school activity, and giving false information to an officer, all misdemeanors.
Officers arrested Chavez as he was walking down the levee – clothed.
