OAKLAND—The National Basketball Association announced Wednesday that the Golden State Warriors will start the season on the road.
The Warriors will play at the Sacramento Kings at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 to open their season, presented by Kaiser Permanente. They will play their first home against the Los Angeles Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Oracle arena. Golden State will then travel to Portland on Nov. 2 before returning home to host the Los Angeles Clippers at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 for a rematch of the First Round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs. The two teams will meet again at 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Day in L.A.
The Warriors will be on the road for 17 of their first 28 games, then home for 12 of the next 15. They will have a lengthy roadtrip beginning Feb. 22 and ending March 2. Golden State will play 11 of its final 18 games at Oracle Arena—including the final four games of the regular season.
Golden State boasted a 51-31 regular season record last season and are scheduled for 19 national television appearances this season—a new franchise record. The Warriors will make their lone appearance on ABC at 12:30 p.m., March 8 against the Clippers. Their games will be aired nine times on ESPN and nine times on TNT.
