The Superior Court judge presiding over the case of Antolin Garcia Torres Thursday ordered prosecutors to hand over digital evidence that the defense attorney has requested multiple times.
Fire consumes two homes in west Gilroy
Two structures in west Gilroy were destroyed Monday after a guesthouse caught fire and eventually spread to the main house nearby. Firefighters were called to 7945 Whitehurst Road at 12:30 p.m. and when they arrived, the guesthouse was engulfed in flames, according to a Cal Fire spokesperson.

The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes in the last week including assault with a deadly weapon, possession of burglary tools, battery, hit and run and driving under the influence. Arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter from Oct. 22 through Oct. 29.
