Police expect to recommend a homicide charge Tuesday against a renowned professor from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey who is suspected of killing his 29-year-old ex-wife and dumping her body off a rural road near Aromas.

The Hollister Police Department sent out a notice advising residents of two sex offenders who have failed to register as required by law. They are asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of Anthony Davis or Victor Zamudio to call the local police department.

Gilroy police are investigating a burglary that took place during a Sept. 7 football game between Christopher and Live Oak high schools. 

Superintendent Wes Smith with the Morgan Hill Unified School District is calling a recent vandalism incident at Live Oak High School a "crosstown rivalry prank that went a little bit too far."

The Gilroy woman who is charged with two counts of murder for allegedly driving drunk and causing a Jan. 14 car crash that killed her husband and daughter has said she is mentally incompetent for trial. 

Men tending a marijuana crop in north Morgan Hill were robbed at gunpoint and two were tied up, leading authorities to eradicate the apparently illegal garden Thursday morning.
