Firefighters snuff out grass fire near IOOF Avenue

Three engines from Gilroy, one engine from CalFire and one battalion chief responded to a grass fire that lit up an eighth of an acre around 1:20 p.m. Thursday off IOOF Avenue, just behind Rebekah Children's Services and near the railroad tracks.
